Just out, rising singer-songwriter Avery Lynch reveals her new EP, Glad We Met, out now via RECORDS/Sony Music.
You can hear the 9-track EP, which includes previously released singles like “Rain,” “the boys who don’t know what they want,” “think about it,” “Dead to Me,” “Lasting Effects,” and “Sweetheart,” alongside a handful of new tracks.
You’ll find Glad We Met is rooted in vulnerability and reflection. Built on lush, melancholic piano arrangements and Avery’s soft, expressive vocals, the EP follows her journey through heartbreak, healing, self-discovery, and the courage to open her heart to love again.
You’ll hear the EP also marks a major creative milestone for Avery—it’s the first record she’s ever co-produced, adding a new layer of intimacy and ownership to her sound.
You get a sense of her intention when you learn the ‘Glad We Met’ EP is her favorite project she’s ever made, and that each song follows the beginning of the love story she’s been living for over five years now, with some songs about heartbreak and moving on and others about falling in love again.
You learn she is originally from Pennsylvania and now based in Los Angeles, and that her musical journey began when she first sat down at the piano at the age of seven. Every song begins the same way: with Avery alone at her piano, crafting intimate demos that she later shapes with trusted collaborators.
You’ll find her music often described as a “happy girl filled with sad songs,” inspired by her life experiences and the world around her, and praised by tastemakers like Ones To Watch and EARMILK, with a rapidly growing fanbase that’s helped her surpass 130 million streams and 400K monthly Spotify listeners.
You can celebrate the release as Avery will hit the road this fall for a run of West Coast tour dates. The tour kicks off November 14 in Portland and includes stops in Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Tickets are on sale now: https://linktr.ee/averylynch
