Before they were Heartstreets, there was Gab Godon and Emma Beko, childhood friends bonding over their shared love of dance and 90s hip-hop. Based in Montreal, the duo spent years perfecting their craft, releasing a string of critically acclaimed singles.

In May 2016, they released their first EP, titled You and I. The lead single, “Cruising With You,” was a 2016 summer anthem that has gathered over 2.5 million streams. Following this success, Heartstreets were invited to share the stage with the likes of Gallant, The Internet, Daniel Caesar, Charlotte Cardin, Busty and the Bass, among many others.

Heartstreets’ first full length album, titled Why Make Sense, was released this past February. Just a few months later, the duo is revamping some of their album’s key tracks.

The focus track for Why Make Sense Revisited 2 is a mashup of two tracks, “I Wanna Dance, Lost.” The song blends the duo’s silky, smooth R&B sounds over hard-hitting beats and a unique song structure.
