After spending the past couple of years producing for others in his studios in London and Berlin, London-based Jakk Lumino has finally decided to release his first solo material.
‘Legacy’ was written and produced in Jakk Lumino’s own warehouse studio in North London and features an anonymous female vocalist. The track was mixed by Nils Ruzicka in the city where kick drums kick hardest (Berlin).
Of the track, Lumino says “Trampling over others to get to the top and acquire status and admiration has been the modus operandi of the social climber since time immemorial. We all want to leave a little legacy – so we tread on heads just to help along the way.”
“Legacy” is a critique of this culture that governs the music industry (as it does many others) and our communities.
