Alt-pop trailblazer Maggie Andrew returns with her latest project, HOW TO SING FOR MONEY—a genre-defying EP that blends shimmering synths, raw lyricism, and fearless sonic experimentation. Featuring standout singles like “Fall Like A Feather,” “Emotional Touchdown,” and the title track, the release marks a pivotal moment in Andrew’s artistic evolution.
With a top 60 debut on US pop radio, HOW TO SING FOR MONEY showcases Andrew’s signature blend of vulnerability and edge. From existential reflections to jet-set disillusionment, each track is a window into her world—one where melody meets meaning, and pop refuses to play by the rules.
“This EP reveals who I am and what I can do when given the tools and the opportunity,” Andrew shares.
That opportunity came in the form of her 2024 win in CBC Music’s Searchlight competition, earning her a recording residency at Calgary’s National Music Centre. Before heading west, Andrew spent a month in Toronto writing with longtime collaborators Carleton Stone and Kyle Mischiek—whose personal and creative ties helped spark the EP’s emotional depth.
