What first got you into music?

I’ve always been into music from a very young age. I’ve always been singing and writing songs since I can remember. Music was always the goal for me.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I think the style that im falling into these days would be pop/ alternative pop. It’s hard to stay in a single lane when I want to create and experiment with my music so I think the genre “alt-pop” is a good fit for my music right now.

What is your creative process like?

It depends where I am. If I’m at home playing my guitar I usually come up with the chords and the lyrics come after depending on what mood the chords are giving. However, if I’m in the studio working with my producer Aaron Brennan, he is always trying to create a unique and cool sound for me so he’ll either show me a track he’s made and I’ll write the lyrics on top of it, or we’ll start from scratch and he’ll make the track while I’m in the room. To which then I’ll write the lyrics as the track is being made.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

This is such a good question, I’ve always always said that I would love to have a song with Blackbear. He’s been my favourite artist for so many years and I love his music and writing style. I think with the music that I’m making today, our styles would blend extremely well.

Have you got a ritual of sorts when writing and thinking about your music?

Not overly. My main thing when writing is I want to always make sure that there’s purpose behind what I’m saying. Most of the time I’m telling stories in my music.

If you could have any superhero power, what would it be and why?

Haha, I think teleportation because I travel that much that it would be nice to get to my destinations without the travel time.

What actor would play you in a movie about your life?

Oh good question, I have never thought of this before. I don’t even know who my celebrity look alike is. Someone with brunette hair who also sings as well as acts. Maybe they’re an unknown actor right now.

What would be a good theme song for your life?

My favourite songs change all the time but as far as theme songs go it would maybe have to be “just like magic” by Ariana Grande because it’s all about manifestation and believing you can get whatever you want.

What historical figure would you love to see in 21st century life?

I love history, I’m such a history nerd and would love to go back to so many different periods in time however I’ve never thought of bringing someone from history back to us. Maybe Shakespeare so I could watch him in the process of writing.

If you were talking to a younger version of you, what advice would you give yourself?

Keep going and believing in yourself. Anything is possible if you believe it is. That followed by hard work and consistency, you will achieve what you’ve dreamed of. I’m still in the very early stages of my career but I always follow this motto.
