You must visit New Jersey, a part of Northeastern America, at some point. If you find yourself on your next adventure on this part of the Atlantic coast, then here are a few things on your bucket list to do in New Jersey.
Six Flags
If you’re a thrill seeker, then a trip to an amusement park should definitely be on the cards. New Jersey is home to Six Flags Great Adventure, which is not too far from Holmeson. It’s a huge amusement park that even has a wildlife park, so after you’re done throwing your stomach every which way, you can ease it off and explore the wildlife they have on show. Many visitors highly recommend stopping at Six Flags if you have the chance during your trip.
Sandy Hook
If you’re staying at the Holiday Inn Hazlet, then you’re not too far from Sandy Hook Island. It’s a national recreation area that draws many tourists to it due to its bird watching, camping, and hiking opportunities. It’s possible to get to it via car or ferry. Tickets are sold as you get on the ferry and cost around $45. There’s also a bike path that covers most of the hook, so if you are a keen cyclist, then the crossing will be a perfect excursion for you.
This week’s vendors at the Parsippany Farmers Market bring a more relaxed way to enjoy New Jersey, offering fresh produce, handmade goods, and a taste of local community life.
George Washington Bridge
It is obvious that some human creations are truly jaw-dropping, and the George Washington Bridge is one of them. It’s a double-decked suspension bridge that spans the Hudson River. The bridge is named after the first president of the US, George Washington. If you fancied a walk, you can actually walk along the bridge, and to achieve this, it’ll take you twenty minutes if done at a leisurely pace. Just make sure that you’re not afraid of heights!
The Boardwalk
The Atlantic City boardwalk was the first in America. It’s an iconic spot that’s home to many shops and restaurants that date back to 1870. It’s certainly one for those who enjoy the view, as the picturesque oceanfront is a beautiful sight to behold. Walk along the beach, gamble at some of the casinos, and dine at some of the tastiest places that the boardwalk has to offer.
One World Trade Center
It’s difficult to imagine that New York suffered such a devastating loss to two iconic buildings; however, One World Trade Center stands magnificently tall in the face of terror. It’s a wonderful place to visit and to reflect on those who lost their lives during 9/11. Please consider paying your respects at the memorial museum as well.
With so much to see and do in New Jersey, you’ll definitely need a long stay, so get your flights booked and explore what this wonderful state has to offer. You won’t be disappointed, and you’ll definitely want to go back once you’ve visited.
