7 Must-Haves If We Were Millennials

If you, like many of us, still feel like you’re in your early-20s, rather than a number possibly double that age, then you’re not alone. That isn’t to say that we’re not happy with where we are in life. Just that we can remember fondly the times when we were younger and how life was back then. For many it was a more carefree time, when we may have been a little more reckless or spontaneous. So here are some dreams and sage advice for any millennial readers; are there any that you can relate to?

    Use a Rejuvenating Face Oil

We got told time and time again from some older people in our lives to care for our skin. And did we listen? For many of us it will have only been half-listening, because let’s face it, we were invincible, we were going to look good forever, and more important things to think about at the time. But we’ll pass on that same advice; take care of your skin. It is the largest organ in the body and needs to be treated well in order for it to treat you well later on.

    Septum Piercing

The septum piercing is an awesome look right now (or just getting a ring if you don’t want to get the full piercing). Being able to rock something like that is one thing that many of you will miss as you get older. Turning up to a business meeting like that or getting the kids from school with it isn’t going to be the best look ever. So if you’re going to anything like this, then when you’re young is the best time to do so.

    Pastel Hair

Again, the whole pink or pastel hair trend looks great. But if there is ever a time to rock it, then your younger years are the time. That and rose-gold hair or lavender purple balayage are some hair goals to tick off while you’re young. The great thing that they are pretty temporary, so they won’t last long if you don’t want it to.

    Hair Straighteners

Being able to have straight and frizz-less hair is something that those of us that had our teen years in the eighties can only dream of! So make sure you make the most of it and get the straighteners that will work the best for your hair. You can even get a brush straightener these days, to do two jobs at once, and to keep hair feeling silky. So that could be worth looking into if you’re looking to save time but still get your hair straight.

    GHD Hair Dryer

Though we need to be careful about how much heat we put on our hair, it is a good place to start with a GHD hairdryer. Not only does it dry your hair, but it doesn’t overheat or dry your hair out too much. Much like taking care of your skin when you’re young, it is a good idea to take care of your hair when you’re young too. If you look after it, and don’t use or do too many things to it that can damage it, then it can look glossy and shiny as you reach our age. But starting sooner rather than later is the way to go.

    Aim’N Swimsuit

Our eyes haven’t seen anything this high-cut since the Jane Fonda workout era. But if there was ever a time to wear a high-cut swimsuit that shows off your curves, then in your twenties is the time to do it. Nay, almost encourage millennials to show off in a swimsuit that shows of the magnificence of the female body, curves and all!

    Reduced Sugar-Diet

If you want to take care of your skin and your waistline, then avoiding a ‘standard American diet’ is the way to go. Eating whole foods, and starting now to do so, is the best thing to do. Reduce your sugar intake, as well as the processed foods that you eat. Learning to cook good, filling, but healthy food when you’re young is a great way to set yourself up for life too. So start now to make sure you’re going to have a healthier future.

What are some of the things that you would encourage millennials to take advantage of while they are able to? Whether it is a physical product or a mindset, there are a few things that in hindsight, it can be good to recommend to those younger than us. It would be fun to hear what you think!
