Ana Luna Shines with New Single ‘Bleeding Pen’

Ana Luna is back with a stunning new single called “Bleeding Pen.” “Daddy’s Empire,” “Dance in a Trance,” and “Can We Pretend We Just Met at a Bar?” are some of her other songs that have been released. This song sets the tone for her first album, Tainted Silhouettes, which comes out November 7.

Portrait of a woman relaxing by a swimming pool with colorful lighting effects.

As the music builds slowly, “Bleeding Pen” becomes a cinematic ballad with dramatic instruments and Ana’s ethereal, haunting singing. The song looks at guilt and memory, showing how difficult it is to deal with both the pain we cause and the pain we carry.

“The song looks at both sides of the guilt of hurting someone,” Ana says. “On the one hand, it’s me saying I’m sorry and that I never meant to hurt my lover. However, it also recognizes that the pain made me think and find out things about myself that I might not have known otherwise.

In the end, the story jumps into the future to show how sadness is temporary. “In the end, no matter how much it hurts, we’ll just be a faint memory in each other’s stories,” Ana says. “I hope we’ll laugh about it one day when we remember we were just kids.” I also hope that people will remember me for good things as well as bad things.

Ana Luna was born in Ukraine, grew up in Paris, and now lives in Los Angeles. She is a natural performer, and her music combines the grandeur of movies with genuine emotion. She kept writing songs to herself for years while she tried to become an actress, but in college she gave music her full attention and created a sound that mixes dream pop, alt-rock, and moody ballads into something sultry, celestial, and deeply personal.

Ana Luna’s first record, Tainted Silhouettes, which comes out on November 7, really shows how sharp her artistic instincts are. The record is a reflection on memory, pain, and renewal. It’s a starting statement that shows both how personal her story is and how healing is something that everyone goes through.
