Moving away from her fiery alt-rock anthems, “Unsteady” is built around plucky guitar and delicate vocals, marking one of the most intimate moments on the upcoming record. The track follows the momentum of recent singles “Cruel and Unusual Punishment” and “Up the Stairs”.
“It’s a song about falling in love and letting yourself do it,” Romano shares. “I’ve learned that love has made me soft and brave and terrified and happy… I wanted to capture that discovery in ‘Unsteady’”.
