Creative Ways To Increase Engagement at Events

Events are a great marketing tool for business owners to spread the word about their business and reach broader audiences. Although, if your event or booth at a conference lacks engagement, you won’t be reaping these benefits at all. Here are a few creative ways to increase engagement at events.

    Incorporate Games and Prizes

Games and prizes are a popular way to get attendees engaging with your brand. By leveraging your audience’s desire to test their luck and go home with free prizes, you’ll have people lining up for their shot. Games can be completely customizable, too. A simple spin-the-wheel game will get attendees to your booth, but you’ll have to do the heavy lifting to get them to stick around and learn about your brand. Meanwhile, a social media contest will get your audience sharing your brand to an even wider audience outside of the event space.

It’s essential to pick your prizes carefully. Pick relevant items that won’t outshine your brand. For example, if you were to give away a free iPhone, everyone would remember the iPhone contest, but would they remember you? Instead, try giving away a free trial for your service or a free product.

    Use Live Polls

If there are speaking sessions at your event, it can be hard to get the audience to interact. Some may be apprehensive about raising their hand or speaking up when asking questions. Instead, switch to live polls. Using an online polling system, the audience can respond to the speaker’s engaging questions from the convince of their mobile phone. This way, you’ll get more in-depth responses and have data to track for later.

    Try Out Projection Mapping

An essential concept at events is drawing the audience’s attention. If you can’t gain their attention, you won’t see much engagement. 3D projection mapping is the perfect way to get heads turning for your brand. Ditch the old traditional 2D displays and let your brand’s persona come to life through high-tech image and video displays.

Finding creative ways to increase engagement at events is the key to building relationships and widening your reach within your target audience. Next time your business hosts or attends an event, try using these tactics to push engagement.
