J8KE, also known as Jake Robertson, is a Canadian singer-songwriter whose musical journey began with a chance encounter learning chords from his aunt during a summer vacation.

The hyperactive energy he channeled into music shaped his artistic path. From opening for renowned acts like The Beach Boys, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Sublime with Rome to gracing the pages of Billboard Magazine and New Noise Magazine, J8KE’s distinctive sound demands attention.

J8KE is back with his latest single, “Same As Me.” Building on the success of his breakout song, “Hold Me,” J8KE has established himself as a versatile artist with a unique blend of acoustic, roots, and pop influences. In “Same As Me,” J8KE captures the essence of navigating through a dead-end relationship and unreciprocated feelings, all set to the sound of a soft acoustic guitar and silver-toned vocals.

“This song is my personal homage to loss and heartbreak. When things go sour, and you’ve hit dead ends. When you feel a certain way, it’s not necessarily reciprocated. In the end, life moves on, as do we.” – J8KE

With his new track, listeners can expect an emotional journey through the intricacies of human connection, delivered with the authenticity and musical prowess that define his artistry. Follow J8KE’s adventures on Instagram @J8KEmusic and stream the single below.
