A unique proposal tells an adorable story you won’t get tired of sharing. Figuring out how to make your proposal unique isn’t as difficult as it may seem.

First, think about what’s important to your relationship! When it’s time to pop the question, you’ll also want the ideal ring. You could ask them what they prefer and research the 4 Cs for a picture-perfect diamond. Once you have the ring, it’s time to plan a romantic way to ask for their hand!

    Include the Family

Find a way to let family or friends join in on the fun! One option is to get someone to keep your partner busy while you prepare to ask the big question. Then, they can bring them to the unique space you’ve prepared for the proposal.

Of course, you could also go the adorable route and include any children or fur babies! Nothing’s cuter than a baby or beloved pet helping you ask your partner to be forever yours. By keeping your family involved, you show your lover you’re ready for a future together.

    Go On a Scavenger Hunt

What could be more fun than a scavenger hunt with clues leading to the ring’s location? This option is great because you can make it very personal. For instance, think about:

    • Places you’ve gone together
    • Favorite bonding activities
    • Where you first met

Get your partner to travel around town searching for clues you’ve left—the hunt can end at home, where you ask for their hand in marriage. If you want to make this extra romantic, have each clue and location tie back to your relationship.

    Go Somewhere Special

If a scavenger hunt isn’t something you or your partner would love, special locations aren’t out of the question. Plan a romantic picnic or dinner and take them on a sweet date instead! You can reminisce about your favorite memories together before you get down on one knee.

    Make a Gift

Another option on how to make your proposal unique is to get crafty. Make something personal for your partner. Nothing says “I love you” quite like a homemade gift—it takes a lot of thought. In case you need inspiration, a few great ideas include:

    • Writing a song
    • Customizing a puzzle
    • Making a card

Is a card romantic? It is if you make it! You could write about your favorite memories and special future plans. Whatever you choose to do, it’s sure to be unique because no one will do it quite like you!
