Jen Eagle is a Danish independent singer and songwriter. She also produces music and often records her vocals in her home studio in Copenhagen. Summer 2020 she published the song ‘You Are Beautiful’. A pop song with a slightly afro-pop feeling made in collaboration with the African producer Herbert Skillz. It has an uplifting vibe and a catchy chorus with a message ‘To be you, just the way you are’.
Like many others, Jen Eagle has felt she had to be and look a certain way in order to be accepted. Currently she is working on a modern pop project with producer and songwriter Per Lange at Globus Studio in Copenhagen. She is also working on an acoustic piano project at Ark Recording Studio run by Kristian Ark Dalsgaard. Jen Eagle released her first piano song ‘What Happened’ November 2021. It is a slow pop song with a lot of edge and a powerful message that ‘whatever happens in life only makes us stronger’. In addition to the music, she has a good visual eye and moves within art directing and fashion styling as well. She is also known to be an international fashion model. She started her modelling career at Scoop Models of Copenhagen when she was seventeen years old. She has always taken her work as a model extremely seriously, although her heart’s desire has always been for the music.
What first got you into music?
Music has always been a big part of my life. I feel like I was born into it, even though my modeling career took over for a period of time. As a child I had private lessons with a vocal coach who gave me the opportunity to sing in front of an audience which made me fully aware that music is my passion.
Who inspired you to make music?
My big brother is the one who inspired me the most. In our childhood home he was always playing guitar. The best thing was when he wanted us to play and sing together. Him on the guitar, me on the piano and we were both singing. The emotion we created while playing was amazing.
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
I do pop music with a twist. Typically, dark edgy piano songs with lyrics of what is going on in my life. Mostly it has turned into electronic pop songs to give it extra power.
What is your creative process like?
My creative process is never the same. It depends on the project I’m working on. Mostly I have a need to let go of something bothering me. I use piano playing and singing as self-therapy. Most of the songs remain demos, but if I feel someone else might benefit from it, I record it professionally. Sometimes, I go to a studio to record. Otherwise, I have the opportunity to record in my home studio. I learned how to produce music as well. I also work online with other producers around the world. Lately, I have been working on a project with a producer here in Denmark where we make everything together from scratch, even the songwriting.
With the pandemic, how have you found a way to get your music and your message out there?
I actually used the pandemic as an opportunity to relax and look inward to see the person I really am and what I want to achieve. I wrote a lot of songs and decided to release my first raw and honest piano song ‘What Happened’.
What is one message you would give to your fans?
Whatever happens in life only makes us stronger!
What would you be doing right now if it weren’t for your music career?
I might spend time creating my own family and/or perhaps write a book about my life.
Do you plan your music releases, or do you just finish a song and release it?
In the beginning I just released it, but lately I’ve started to plan it even though it’s a lot of work.

If you could be a superhero, what would your superpower be and your superhero name?
I already have a superhero name. My name is Jen Eagle. I’m here to inspire others to find their inner hero within themselves. That’s my superpower.
Would you rather be the one in a movie who gets the hero/heroine or the baddie with all the good lines?
I want to be the one changing the storyline to WE ARE ALL HEROS
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
That I would stop being so hard on myself.
If you were talking to a younger version of you, what advice would you give yourself?
It’s ok, I got you and you are enough.
