Naomi Sky is a singer-songwriter, dancer, and model that is originally from Arlington, Virginia but grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Naomi Sky is a recent graduate of the University of Miami, where she attended the Frost School Of Music. She is known for her honest and introspective lyrics. Her music explores all facets of herself.
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
I would describe my lyrics as honest and introspective, and my music as chill-pop with some EDM influences. I love listening to all genres of music, everything from rock to R&B so I think listeners can find hints of various genres in my singing style, some of my melodies, the production, or lyrics.
What is your creative process like?
I create in a state of flow, so when I’m writing, I let all of my ideas come out on paper or in the Notes section of my phone. Then, I’ll usually go back and edit the lyrics a few days later. I like creating some space between the day I first wrote a song and the day of editing because I feel I have a fresh perspective a few days later, and I am better able to critique my ideas.
Who would you most like to collaborate with?
I would love to collaborate with Ariana Grande or Jennifer Lopez! I’m so inspired by these two women and their energy and commitment to their art and careers.

What’s next for you?
I’m currently working on an album that focuses on vulnerability. I’m really excited to share more music off this upcoming album because these songs have given me the space to explore different aspects of myself and question my own beliefs about love and life. So my hope is that my album inspires people to continue exploring themselves and creating the life of their dreams.
What is your ultimate Halloween costume?
I love being able to dress up as 2 completely different characters for Halloween parties, so I would love to be a rocker chick one night and then an angel the next night.
What would be the ideal food to have cooked for you on a date night?
Pizza or steak, those are two of my favorite dishes!
What would be a good theme song for your life?
I’ve been listening to a lot of JLo lately, so “Feelin’ So Good” by Jennifer Lopez Featuring Big Pun & Fat Joe.
What was the last TV series you watched on TV?
I’m currently in the middle of watching The Office. Before that, I binge-watched 10 Things I Hate About You on Hulu!
If you were a member of the Spice Girls, what would your spice handle be?
Fierce and Soft Spice! I want to show that women can be both: fierce and strong and soft and vulnerable, and it’s all a part of being feminine.
