Australian pop artist Lark has just unleashed the video for her powerhouse anthem, “Downtown on the Radio.” The song protests the corporate giants of the music industry, such as Spotify,  and champions the true spirit of indie artistry. With infectious synths, catchy hooks, and defiant lyrics, Lark’s latest track is a bold declaration of independence, showcasing both the struggle and the triumph of artists fighting for control over their own work.

“This song is about all artists taking back their power. The streaming giants and corporate labels have turned art into a machine that churns out profit for them, not the creators. Radio has always been a place where independents could shine, and blockchain is a new way forward – one where artists own their work and their worth.” – Lark

“Downtown on the Radio” is a fresh, energetic fusion of retro vibes and modern rebellion. The music video was brought to fruition with QUBE Productions. It’s a message-packed protest wrapped in a catchy pop package, made to strike a chord with people who believe in independent creativity. While the track/video are on all streaming platforms, Lark is fighting for artist empowerment by launching an exclusive 50-piece NFT collection. Each NFT will feature a unique version of the song, along with cover art from decorated Marvel artist Christian Cordella. These NFTs are a golden ticket to the Lark Pop Syndicate, where fans can access exclusive content and experiences directly from Lark. A clear sign that she’s not just making music, she’s defining the future of artist autonomy and direct fan engagement. These digital assets are proof that the future of music is about ownership, connection, and giving power back to the artists.

Lark is an independent pop artist who is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with in the indie music scene. She won two International Singer Songwriters Association Awards in 2024 and has reached #1 on both the Euro and World Indie Music Charts with multiple releases. Stream “Downtown on the Radio” and watch the music video below. If you like what you hear, follow her on Instagram and TikTok. Grab your exclusive NFT at Lark.music/nfts.
