Laura Pieri, an artist from Brazil who lives in New York, is back with Frankie (ON THE DANCEFLOOR), a strong, high-energy follow-up to her well-received 2024 EP, Frankie. This new CD has club-ready remixes of the old songs and a new single called “Flown Away.” It changes Pieri’s story of strength into one of joy and release.

Frankie wrote about a woman getting her voice back in a world that tried to quiet it. Now, in “On the Dancefloor,” Frankie looks at what comes next: movement, confidence, and joy. Pieri turns emotional depth into kinetic energy by adding dazzling synths, euphoric hooks, and rhythmic drive to reflect onnt.

Pieri says, “Frankie was about rebirth and finding yourself.” “Frankie (ON THE DANCEFLOOR) is about being in the moment—less thinking, more feeling. Frankie can let go of her worries and just move because of the constellation of moods.

The new version of the project was made with the help of YXSH, a producer and artist from Los Angeles who has worked with the artist before. Pieri says, “We’ve worked together for years, and he really gets me.” “Remixing meant breaking things up, which was daunting at first. But after I got into it, it became fun to play with textures and feelings that weren’t clear at first.

Pieri was born in São Paulo and now lives in New York City, where she is doing well. She has always lived through music. There isn’t just one turning point in her path; it’s a lifelong rhythm. In the last several years, she has made a name for herself in pop music, getting praise from FLAUNT, Mundane Magazine, and Northern Transmissions, among others.

Pieri is a truly multidisciplinary force that lends a cinematic aspect to her music. She writes, acts, and directs the visuals for her projects. One of these is a short film that came out with the original Frankie EP in 2024.

With Frankie (ON THE DANCEFLOOR), Laura Pieri takes listeners to a place where sound, story, and spectacle come together. In her universe, healing isn’t simply silent reflection; it’s a full-bodied celebration.
