Indie rock duo Magenta Moon continues to push creative boundaries with their latest music video release, “More,” a mesmerizing fusion of dark romance, cinematic storytelling, and hypnotic melodies.

Known for their immersive sonic worlds, the duo, composed of Elaina Whitesell and Joseph Petrarca, delivers a music video that is as visually striking as it is emotionally charged. Premiered exclusively on Kill The Music, “More” takes listeners on a journey through passion, mystery, and transformation, solidifying Magenta Moon’s signature blend of haunting aesthetics and evocative storytelling. The video is now available to watch on YouTube.

Set against black-and-white cinematography, “More” unfolds like a supernatural fever dream, following a seemingly innocent date night that takes an unexpected, chilling turn. The video’s eerie sensuality slowly unravels as the story reveals a dark truth, she’s a vampire, and this encounter is more than just a fleeting romance; it’s fate. Juxtaposed against vivid performance shots of Magenta Moon playing on a beach, the visual experience mirrors the song’s duality, love and inevitability, beauty and darkness. This cinematic approach pays tribute to the duo’s roots, as they explain: “Very few know this, but Magenta Moon was birthed on the floor of a Midnight Cinema. This is our homage to the campy films that are alternative artists’ bread and butter.” Shot by Nikolas Shaw, with camera assistant Jordan Nistico and edited by Miguel Vite, the video seamlessly blends nostalgia, fantasy, and suspense, pulling the viewer deeper into its hypnotic world.

Since forming, Magenta Moon has captivated audiences with their genre-blurring sound, fusing indie rock, pop, and electronic elements into an intoxicating mix. After relocating to Los Angeles in 2022, they’ve gained momentum with acclaimed releases like Rapid When It Happens (2020) and I Brushed My Teeth; Let’s Make Love (2021), earning praise from EARMILK, Mystic Sons, and Indie Midlands. Most recently, they were named one of Music Connection Magazine’s Hot 100 Artists of the Year. With “More,” the duo proves once again that their work isn’t just meant to be heard, it’s meant to be felt.
