What sets your music apart? What is unique, or at least uncommon?
I feel that my music is somewhat ahead of the times. It has a nostalgic flare but with modern pop productions, and I think my voice and the way I construct and twist my melodies is quite unique to songwriting these days.
What is your creative process like?
During my creative process, I usually like to start with a specific text, lyric or melody that I might have in my head. Some of my best ideas come to me in the middle of the night just as I’m about to drift off to sleep, and if I don’t get up immediately to write it down, I might lose it, so I keep my journal next to my bed. I also love weaving lyrics and Melodies to an instrumental track to see what kind of magic happens. Songwriting to me is like finding the missing puzzle pieces.

Can you tell us about your new single?
“Wrong Girl” is the second single from my forthcoming solo Alternative-Pop EP written and recorded together with Doug Romanow at his studio in Nashville. It’s a song about escaping your own reality and running away from your problems, because that’s easier than actually leaving. Somehow you’ve gotta start fresh. It’s a song about the struggle of healing from a lost love, feeling misunderstood, fighting with your inner yin and yang as you reach the crossroads and the transformation of a new character. Learning to reinvent yourself at various points in your life, shedding the old skin that conformed and binded you to a reality you thought you would never escape.
What is one message you would give to your fans?
I’m not afraid to be vulnerable and to show my emotions or to wear my heart on my sleeve, because that is what being an artist is all about. If you love what you do, it will never feel like work.
What is next for you?
I just finished shooting the video for “Wrong Girl” out here in LA, and will be releasing that , along with another single from my Nashville Pop songs called “The Key” followed by the full EP and some live shows coming later this year and working towards delivering a full album next year and to play some festivals as well.
