Introducing TA GA DA, a dynamic trio made up of Jesse de Faccio, Alberto Tex, and Francesco Gambarotto.

These three talented musicians have been making waves in the underground music scene for years, and now they are coming together to bring us their debut album, This Is How We Dance.

This album, set to be released on November 17th, 2023 via Dischi Sotterranei, is a true labor of love that was born out of the isolation and uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic. The single, The Weather Song, gives us a taste of what to expect from the full album, with its infectious beats and catchy melodies.

TA GA DA’s sound is a unique blend of dance punk influences from the early 2000s, with a modern twist inspired by the latest UK bands. The result is a collection of 7 fast-paced and intense tracks that will have you dancing from start to finish.

So, get ready to immerse yourself in the world of TA GA DA and experience the melancholy of isolation, the desire for shared fun, and the pure joy of music. Keep an eye out for their debut album, This Is How We Dance, and be prepared to be blown away by the talent and creativity of this exciting new trio. TA GA DA is here to make their mark on the music world, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next.

What does your music say about you?

I think it says that we are people who need to have fun, almost like therapy. But probably the thing it says the most is that we are over 30 haha.

Do you enjoy recording and production?

Certainly, our music is entirely self-produced. Our drummer is a producer, and we are fortunate to be able to oversee and control all stages in detail, with continuous and deep collaboration, in spaces that feel like home to us. It is quite a privilege.

Are you finding the isolation of the pandemic conducive to your writing, or is it hindering the experiences about which you can write?

It helped us a lot to realize that we needed to express a range of emotions we took for granted, especially to share a mood with others. Our music is designed to create a great atmosphere of sharing with those in front of us live.

What is the best advice you have been given?

    Get yourselves a manager.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

The current payment model of streaming platforms for artists is unacceptable. The reason people use these platforms (listening to artists’ music) is being paid so little. And it’s not just an economic damage, but also a mindset issue: people today think that listening to music for free is right, deserved, and normal.

Do you sing in the shower? What songs?

Yes, we sing (and dance) Komodo by Mauro Picotto

What would be the ideal food to have cooked for you on a date night?

The girls who know us know that we don’t have dinner.

Which fictional character do you wish was real?

    Silvio Berlusconi

What is your favorite board game?

Jesse, our singer and bassist, and our manager Michele are high-level Pokémon card players; they participate in tournaments all over Italy. Jesse works in a shop where he teaches children how to play and organizes tournaments.

    Do you have any superstitions?

Yes, we never go on stage without a vodka tonic; it’s bad luck.

Their new single Boy was published on May 10, 2024, once more through Dischi Sotterranei. A lyric video and a unique bonus are also included: the song may be downloaded straight from www.tagada.band as a polyphonic ringtone.
