Becoming an early riser is probably the hardest thing for most of us. And the main reason is that we don’t sleep early. This is why most of us are still groggy in the morning and need a lot of effort to get out of bed and prepare for work. This task becomes even more challenging when you think about the time it will take for you to get ready for work.

You think about all the things you have to do before getting out of the house. Dressing up, showering, wearing makeup, and prepping breakfast and lunch – and your motivation to get out of bed nosedives.

Women take longer to get ready compared to men simply because they have more to do. You can’t just walk out of the house after you’ve showered and worn clean clothes. You also need time to wear accessories and pay attention to makeup and hair.

Fortunately, we have come up with a solution. Here, we’ll talk about how you can get ready for your office in 5 minutes and still look like a diva.

But before we can do that, you have to remember that there are quite a few things you’ll need to do the night before, so everything is prepped and ready to go the next day.

    Prepping for the morning

Select what you’ll be wearing: Women take time to pick out their outfits in the morning because they are more conscious about it compared to men.

So, if you don’t want to end up wasting 15-20 minutes just deciding on the dress, coat or genuine leather jackets for women, it’s best if you did it the night before. Consider your choice carefully and once you’ve chosen, don’t think about it any further. Also, remember to steam or press your clothes beforehand, so all you have to do is wear them in the morning.

Prepare and pack lunch: If you prefer taking lunch with you, make sure it’s something you can prepare at night and pack. Instead of spending 10-minutes making a simple sandwich and regretting it in the morning, plan your meals a week in advance and select items that are nutritious but simple to make. The internet is full of healthy and quick office lunch ideas so make sure you try some of these when planning the week’s menu.

Take a shower: Showering takes anywhere between 10-20 minutes depending on the products you want to put in your hair and everything else you want to do. This is why showering just before you go to bed will not only save you time but also help you sleep better. Once you’ve showered, pat dry your hair or use heat for styling if you want to do something fancy in the morning.

Lineup everything you’ll need: If you don’t want to spend long minutes rummaging through your drawer to find the perfect shade of lipstick, do it while you still have time [at night]. Pick out essentials such as foundation, eyeliner, blush, mascara, and lipstick for makeup and bobby-pins, product, and brush for your hair. You’ll be surprised at how much time you’ll save with this simple trick!

Now that you’re all good to go, set your alarm, head to bed as soon as you can, and try to get some sleep before your morning routine.

    1: Start by freshening up

Without wasting any time, get out of bed and head to the bathroom. Brush your teeth and wash your face using the best products you have. Remember to invest in something that’s a 2-in-1, so you don’t have to waste time cleaning and then washing. Also, while it may take a little longer than you expected to brush, you have to ensure that you do it thoroughly especially if you want them to be sparkling white when you leave your home.

    The time required: 1.5 minutes

2: Do your hair and makeup

The time it takes for you to do your hair depends entirely on how fancy you want to look. If you want to stick to the 5-minute routine, then it is advised that you keep both things simple. Put on some foundation, which can also double up as a concealer, make a quick cateye with your liner, and put on mascara, blush, and lipstick for the final touches. For your hair, you can either decide to wear it down or tie it in a simple braid or ponytail. You can also practice some sophisticated hairstyles, so you get it done quicker in the morning.

    The time required: 2.5 minutes

    3: Wear your outfit

Finally, once you’ve taken care of everything else, all that’s left to do is to wear the dress you took out and pressed the night before. Slip it on and also ensure that you take out the shoes or heels that you want to wear, so you don’t waste time deciding on that in the morning either.

On the safe side, always keep a go-to dress ready if something happens to your ready dress in the morning or if you didn’t have the time or the chance to pick one the night before. This will not only make you look smashing but will also reduce the time you take for selection

    Finalizing your look

Though getting ready for work in a mere 5 minutes may seem impossible, you can get it right with a little practice. If you make sure to prepare for the morning before going to bed and try to maintain a schedule, you will be able to step out of the house looking like a million dollars; a look that took you just 5 minutes to complete!
