Rising pop sensation YAQI has just dropped her audacious new music video for “I’m On It,” in collaboration with the luxury clothing brand, PRIVATE POLICY.
The vivacious and expertly directed visual showcases inclusivity and Y2K vibes. YAQI has already earned a reputation for herself in China as one of their pop princesses, and with “I’m On It,” she is making a major break into the North American music market. The music, produced by Tadja and penned by Romy Dya, a singer-songwriter and producer, shows YAQI’s sweet vocals and ability to negotiate elegant, sophisticated beats.
YAQI has dedicated the video to Asian female creatives, who have been stereotyped and ignored for too long. “Moved and impacted by events since the violence towards the AAPI communities during the pandemic, it is time for us to stand up, speak up, and support each other.
