A California-drenched exploration into how we find our own Beatific moments in a complicated world, the project embodies deep grooves and modern rhythms rooted in indie rock, pop, and electro, and informed by melodic sensibilities and psychedelia.

What first got you into music?

When I was about five I saw the rock band Kiss on the show 321 contact wearing platform boots, black leather, and exploding pyrotechnics behind them. I was pretty much sold from that point on. The cannons in AC/DC “for those about to rock we salute you” were also a defining moment. Something about fireworks and music together felt synergistic, haha

What lead you to become a music artist and what advice can you give to others aspiring to make a hit?

I believe in the transformational power of music. I believe that music is a reflection of the collective unconscious, and if we tap into it, we achieve a psychic union of all beings who are interested.

What is your creative process like?

Typically I dream sections of songs or bear witness to them in altered states. And then I take that seed or hook back to my bandmates or lyricist and turn it into a proper song, and go ahead and produce it.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

Our latest release is the single computer. That’s about how we humans with every passing day are getting to be more like cyborgs. What happened to the heady days when you felt like taking a walk without your personal device in hand? Music is thoughtful psychedelic independent pop rock…

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

I love collaborating with others. I collaborated with quite a few producers on our upcoming record, Jeremy Black, Jason Lesser, eveningland, Tomas, clouds, and a bunch of other amazing musicians, like flow loris… Not to mention Jump… orn Clement Leveu… My wish list is whoever inspires me at the moment!

If you could go open a show for any artist, who would it be?

    It would be Justice!

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

I think it’s quite challenging, but it always has been so I guess the game is the same. Only the names and rules have changed.

If you were to write an autobiography, what would the title be?

Sexual Chocolate // The REAL Beatific

What would be the ideal food to have cooked for you on a date night?

    Chocolate Lava Cake!

If you could ask your future self-one question, what would it be?

How are you still so f’ing sexy?

If you were talking to a younger version of you, what advice would you give yourself?

Listen up bud. Go out and do it.
