Camille Aramburu, known as CVMILLE (pronounced kuh-meel), is an international Latin artist from Buenos Aires, Argentina, currently based in Brooklyn, New York.

From a very young age, Camille developed an interest in music and songwriting which eventually led her to Los Angeles, California where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts. After graduating in 2018, Camille went back to Buenos Aires where she collaborated with producers that helped propel her music to the public. Her first single, “Quiero”, gained a remarkable response. Since then, she’s been captivating audiences all across the world with her music while also collaborating with artists from the United States, Mexico, Colombia, India, and others countries. Now settled in New York, CVMILLE has performed all over the city and worked with several producers and artists hoping to keep amplifying her global reach. This bilingual artist’s awaited first EP titled “SuperBaby” is out now! Stream, support and share her music that we know you’ll love!

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

I would love to collaborate with Pharrell. It would be an absolute dream to have him produce me.

What would you be doing right now if it weren’t for your music career?

If I wasn’t focusing on my music career I would be traveling around the world feeding and educating children. I still want to do this and hope to be able to make it a reality soon.

Who would be on your playlist if we were to look at the artists you are listening to?

Some artists on my playlist would be Frank Ocean, ROSALIA, Solange, Tyler the Creator, Maye, Ariana Grande, Mac Miller, Bad Bunny, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Kendrick Lamar, Omar Apollo, Kali Uchis, Steve Lacy,  Plan B, rusowsky, Led Zeppelin… I listen to a lot of artists so I could go on and on.

Are you planning any videos for your music?

Yes! There are two music videos coming out this month: one for ‘Deseo’, the other for ‘space inside my mind’

What is your current music project about?

My latest EP Superbaby is a conceptual project that navigates the soul journey in a way and each song conveys a moment in my lifetime. It all starts very ethereally and dreamy, a bit lost, a bit sad… sort of like what I felt coming into this world. It then goes into loss, lust, and anger and ends on a high note expressing how important it is to listen to yourself and outgrow the older version of you. The title of this EP really brings the whole concept together through nostalgia. My dad would call me SuperBaby and I really felt like that was the title that could accurately depict the journey of an innocent soul entering this world with a sort of high expectation of self and the future to come.

If you could change anything about yourself what would it be?

My overthinking for sure, it can sometimes really get in the way.

    Do you have any superstitions?

Being raised in a Latin house, of course I do! The one that always gets me is putting your purse on the floor. Apparently, if you do so you’ll lose money, ahahah

What would you bring along to an idyllic picnic?

A big bowl of fruit, an entire charcuterie board with different types of crackers and jams, some nice fresh lemonade and water… maybe some wine and chocolate, too.

Do you sing in the shower? What songs?

Absolutely. A good shower includes good music. I usually like to sing old school boleros, reggaeton, and some soul, for sure.

If you could learn any language fluently what would it be?

If I could speak any language fluently it would definitely be French or Japanese.
