Sprucing up your bathroom may be easier than you think. If you want to give it a new look, there are plenty of small renovations that you can do that do not require major investments nor a lot of time spent. You should aim to change the essential elements that are visible rather than getting into major plumbing. This way, the entire room will get a fresh new look. Here are some of the small renovations that will go a long way in your bathroom:

    1. Refinish your tub to make it look new

Your tub is the largest piece of furniture in your bathroom and if it is in bad shape, then the entire room will look shabby. While changing a tub means putting in quite a bit of money, you can refinish one as a DIY project for $100 or less. How? By using a refinishing kit that has everything you need from epoxy with hardener to a thinner and a brush. While the result will not be perfect, it is guaranteed to brighten up your bathroom.

    2. Change the fixtures to make the room look fresh

The fixtures in your bathroom, like your faucets and your hangers, greatly influence your bathroom’s style. You use them daily and they are exposed to the chalk deposits in the water, so after a while, they will start to look used. Changing the fixtures is something you can do all on your own, which makes this one of the easiest bathroom renovation projects. With plenty of models to choose from, you can change the whole mood of the room with only these small elements.

    3. Paint your walls in bright colors

There is nothing like a bit of wall painting to make your bathroom look fresh and there is no DIY renovation project that is easier to do. Make a daring change by painting in bright colors or opt for whites, ivories, and beiges to give the room a silky touch. Regardless of the color(s) you choose, your bathroom will be an entirely new room.

    4. Add wall stickers to change the mood of the room

If you have tiles on your bathroom walls, then the ceiling is the only part that you can paint. But this doesn’t mean that you can’t make quick and efficient changes to your walls. You can use stickers that are specifically made to be adherent to tiles, which will make your bathroom look entirely different. Opt for nature stills to get a calming effect or for abstract art to make the room unforgettable.

    5. Refresh your floors

Make a significant change in your bathroom by refreshing the floors. If you have hardwood floors, then they may need some care after a while because the humidity will make them swell. While changing your floor (or even leveling it) go on the major renovations list painting it with a protective enamel is something you can do by yourself. Not only will this keep your floors from swelling any further, but it will also give the room a special shine.

    6. Install new vanity and top

If you want to go further beyond changing your faucets, you can try to install a new vanity and top in your bathroom. Since these come in preset sizes, you don’t have to worry that they will not fit. Moreover, there is little to no actual assembling required for these, so you should be done in a couple of hours. With an impressive array of options for your top ada bathroom sink and vanity, you can change the style of your bathroom entirely.

    7. Install some new shelves

Putting up shelves in your bathroom is yet another minor renovation that will go a long way. Shelves are extremely useful because they offer you plenty of storage space, but they also give an aesthetic boost to the room. For most models available on the market you have to drill small holes in the wall, but there are quite a few alternatives that require no drilling whatsoever. However, if you plan to install a shelf with an adhesive substance only, remember to check that it is suited for bathrooms and specifically, for places with high humidity levels.

    8. Install a new mirror

This is yet another minor renovation that will have a huge impact. The mirror in your bathroom defines the style of the entire room, and changing it will have visible effects. You can experiment with mirrors of various shapes and you can also gain some storage space by installing a mirror cabinet.

These minor renovation projects will have your bathroom looking spick and span with a minimum amount of effort and with a limited investment. Try them in your house and see how much of an effect they can have!
