Indie-rock artist Seth Horst, who performs under the name of Nice Vice, has just released his debut single titled “Bloom,” along with a beautifully shot, cinematic, narrative music video to pair with it.
Horst’s inspirations shine through the track, with sounds reminiscent of 90s rock and bands such as Counting Crows, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Pearl Jam. Both the song and the music video are easy for listeners to get lost in, crafting a full and intricate story throughout both elements. According to Horst, he spent most of his time the past two years during COVID-19 writing and perfecting his songs, and with one listen to “Bloom,” it is obvious to see the time and deviation he spends on his work.

The music video describes the story of four friends in their twenties exploring the world together and the different adventures they encounter along the way. “Bloom” is the perfect soundtrack for a story like this, with echoed guitar tones, talk of a twenties getaway, and a slow instrumental build throughout the entire track.
