Zolita Announces ‘Hell’s Belles’ + New Single “Hardcore”

Singer, songwriter, filmmaker, and queer pop visionary Zolita has announced her highly anticipated forthcoming album, HELL’S BELLES, arriving August 28.

A genre-bending concept record split into two distinct sonic worlds, the album balances the softer, more romantic spirit of “BELLES” with the dark, hedonistic pulse of “HELL.” Alongside the announcement, Zolita has unleashed her explosive new single, “HARDCORE”.

The Duality of Hell and Belle

Serving as the project’s thesis statement, last month’s lead single and title track, “Hell’s Belles,” introduced the central duality running through the record. By blending country and rock influences with Zolita’s signature pop sensibilities, the track established a bold declaration of intent: embracing personal contradiction rather than trying to resolve it.

    • The Transformation: Where the title track opened the door, “HARDCORE” kicks it completely off its hinges. The track marks the exact transition into the album’s darker second half, capturing the chaotic moment Belle transforms into her hedonistic alter ego.
    • The Sonic Shift: Trading acoustic-driven romance for impulse and vulnerability for raw desire, “HARDCORE” plunges headfirst into a gritty electro-pop landscape fueled by pure instinct, power, and temptation.
    • Embracing Contradiction: At its core, HELL’S BELLES is a record that refuses to choose between softness and power, vulnerability and confidence, or guitar-driven romance and club-ready catharsis.

“The album reflects my split influences and dual nature as both an artist and a person. I am Hell, and I am Belle.” — Zolita

    About Zolita

Based in Los Angeles and raised between both coasts, Zolita first connected to music through bluegrass guitar before studying at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. There, she began shaping her music through a heavily cinematic lens, treating her projects as immersive, narrative extensions where queer relationships are centered without compromise—presenting them as messy, vulnerable, and beautifully fully realized.

Following acclaimed early projects like Immaculate Conception, Sappho, Evil Angel, and her 2024 album Queen of Hearts, Zolita has built a formidable live presence. Having already sold out iconic venues like the Bowery Ballroom and The Troubadour, she is slated to hit the stage at the All Things Go DC festival this summer ahead of her August album launch.
